PA FTC League Meet Final Results – Plus Upcoming Judging Training

Hello Pennsylvania FIRST Tech Challenge Teams and Volunteers,

The FTC PA Meets series is now completed! We now have defined the number of teams eligible to compete in their respective League Tournaments by virtue of completing at least 2 Meets of the series. The League scores have been posted on the FIRST FTC and FTC PA websites. See links below. But first a summary of the results:

 Eastern League:

  • 24 of the 27 Registered teams have qualified for Advancement to the Eastern Tournament.
  • 7 teams have played in all 6 Meets, a statistic consistent over the past three weeks

Congratulations to the top three overall lead teams in the Eastern League:

  1. 7244 OUT of the BOX Robotics – Downingtown
  2. 13669 Raiderbots – Coatesville
  3. 16468 Green Lemons – West Chester

Central League:

  • 18 of 20 Registered teams have qualified for Advancement to the Central Tournament.
  • 3 teams have played in all 6 Meets

Western League:

  • 20 of 21 Registered teams have qualified for Advancement to the Western Tournament
  • 3 teams have played in all 6 Meets

Remember to request a Referee Review of your matches of choice.

For those 62 Teams that have qualified to advance to your respective League Tournaments we look forward to seeing your team compete in the ongoing FIRST Tech Challenge Game ULTIMATE GOALsm . What we do ask is that each advancing team conform with us that you do plan on participating in the League Tournaments by this Wednesday, April 31st so that we may assure that we have the appropriate number of Judge Volunteers, resources and scheduling time to remotely support these events. For All Advancing Teams:  please make all effort to attend the following very important session this Wednesday. The session will be recorded but we prefer and highly suggest that someone from the team attend live so that we may answer any questions.

  • REMOTE JUDGING SESSION #3 – “Remote Judging via the Remote Scoring System” Wednesday March 31st at 7:30PM. This is a technical session on the logistics and scheduling and how the process will work within the Scoring System.

This session will walk you through the elements of the Scoring System involving the scheduling of teams for interviews as well as the associated conferencing tool that will be used for your teams to participate.

Preliminary Plans for both Teams and Volunteers: There will be two sets of judging interviews. The first is the presentation Judging Interview for each of the Tournaments scheduled for Saturday morning between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. The second interview is the “Pit” or follow-up interview, to be held the same Saturday afternoon between 1:00 PM and 3:30PM.

Interview schedules will be published at least one week in advance for each Tournament now that we have determination of the teams that will be eligible AND again, have confirmed their participation.

Interview times will be listed in the scoring system along with links to the web conferencing session for each interview.

Dean’s List:

Continual Reminder – Dean’s List Interview weekend is May 1stand 2nd and the State Championship (Remote) will be Wednesday through Sunday May 19th – 23rd. As dictated in the Dean’s List Nomination Guide – US, the deadline to make nominations must be received by FIRST no later than April 15th at 11:59pm Eastern time.
